As a Visa Software Engineer in the VIP Middleware Applications group, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building,testingandmaintainingproducts that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions. As a VIP Middleware Applications SoftwareEngineer,you will: Develop /maintainefficient applications, communication,databaseand operating systems code capable of processing large message volumes in a quickly evolving payments world Provide support and problem resolution for Visa's online authorization system Perform business and technical analysis, design, code, unit/system test,implementationand documentation of solutions Develop onmultiple operating systems using multiple languages Gain exposure tozTPFoperating systems internals (control program, network / communications, IO, database access), working in lockstep with the IBMzTPFDevelopment Lab. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field, graduating May 2025 - August 2026. Preferred Qualifications C/C++ and OO design preferred Experience with communication protocols,databasesand Linux a plus Strong oral and written communications skills, and the ability to work well within ateam settingrequired Ability to develop technical specifications from high-level business requirementsusing efficient coding techniques to produce well-structured, easily maintainablecode Ability to stay focused and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment Work Authorization:Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. U.S. Applicants Only The estimated salary range for this positionis $98000 to $98000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Work Hours Varies upon the needs of the department. Travel Requirements This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
