About the Role We are seeking Patient Intake Coordinators to join a leading healthcare organization supporting patients We are seeking Patient Intake Coordinators to join a leading healthcare organization supporting patients starting long-term dialysis care. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth, compassionate first experience for patients as they transition into treatment. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role ideal for customer service professionals with healthcare experience who are organized, self-driven, and thrive in collaborative environments. What You'll Do * Receive new patient referrals from hospitals and clinics * Contact patients via outbound calls to coordinate dialysis care and scheduling * Handle inbound calls from patients following up on scheduling requests * Manage and track cases independently using Salesforce * Document outreach efforts, follow up consistently, and close cases accurately * Work daily within Salesforce (CRM) and Cerner (EHR) systems * Maintain compliance with patient privacy and HIPAA standards Call Volume: * ~20 inbound calls per day on average * Outbound calls vary by caseload (typically 20-80 per day) Required Qualifications * 1+ year of customer service experience (call center, healthcare office, hospitality, retail, or similar) * Experience working in a healthcare environment (hospital, clinic, medical office, or health insurer) * Strong verbal and written communication skills * High attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills * Comfort using computer applications (Outlook, CRM systems, data entry tools) * High School Diploma or GED Nice to Have * Previous patient intake or care coordination experience * Dialysis or nephrology experience * Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.) Work Environment * Hybrid/in-office role (equipment provided: laptop and monitor) * Must have high-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps) and a private, distraction-free workspace at home * Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and collaboration * Professional environment with strict patient privacy requirements Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
