Description

The Design Management Lead role will lead the planning, scheduling and implementation of complex design projects. The role will develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates. The role will involve coordinating with various teams to ensure that project plans are realistic and achievable. The role will also be responsible for monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities



  • Lead comprehensive design process, which includes strategic, conceptual, and technical phases.
  • Coordinate and lead the design team to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the development and implementation of design scope, ensure to stay within set schedule and budget criteria.
  • Oversee design resource management, ensure optimal use of personnel, materials, and software to execute design projects.
  • Manage the creation, submission, and revision of design deliverables to meet project demands.
  • Manage design Quality Assurance and Quality Control, to ensure the highest level of design integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor design deliverables, ensure timely completion and quality of design projects.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


                Mentorship



                • May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.


                Skills and Competencies



                • Effective leadership in navigating the design process, from conceptualization to finished product.
                • Strong understanding of design processes and project management principles.
                • Strong technical leadership and decision making.
                • Competency with the technologies, processes and disciplines included in the projects.
                • Highly efficient in resource management and coordinating and managing a multi-disciplinary design team.
                • Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
                • Strong skills in quality assurance and control management, with a keen eye for detail and design standards.
                • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.


                              Experience



                              • Typically requires minimum of 10 years of design management or related professional experience.
                              • Typically requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years of project management experience.
                              • Licensed Professional Engineer required.


                                  Education



                                  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture or related professional experience is required.



                                  Salary Range:Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

                                  Location A:
                                  Salary: $144,000 - $196,000
