Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant II to provide high quality clinical and administrative support in a fast paced care environment. This role proactively anticipates provider needs, prepares patients for visits using established guidelines, and maintains efficient patient flow. The Medical Assistant II assists with treatments and procedures, performs clinical tasks within the MA scope of practice and documented competencies, and administers approved medications under provider supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical procedures within the MA scope of work, following documented competencies, PHS policy, and provider supervision, including preparing patients for exams, administering medications/immunizations, collecting lab specimens, and performing officebased procedures.
- Support wound and procedure care by removing sutures/staples, completing dressing changes, setting up aseptic/sterile fields, assisting with providerdirected procedures, and performing basic foot care.
- Provide patient education by offering basic instruction, assisting with visit closure, and supporting patients throughout the care process.
- Participate in teambased care by collaborating with the care team to meet clinic needs, supporting new MA orientation, and performing scribe duties after completing PMG scribe training.
- Maintain clinical documentation and communication by managing patient calls, inbasket messages, and regulatory audits as assigned.
- Manage clinical supplies and environment through Kanban stocking, supply ordering, and maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and wellstocked environment that meets infectionprevention and regulatory standards.
- Support clerical workflows by scheduling appointments, processing referrals, coordinating prior authorizations (DME, diagnostics, medications, specialties), and tracking forms such as Advanced Directives and FMLA.
- Monitor provider schedules to identify and reschedule noshow appointments and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Ensure highquality customer service by applying CARES principles and demonstrating strong listening, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Six months of MA experience or successful completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program from an accredited school required
- Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 90 days of hire
- BLS (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI Healthcare Provider) required
- Maintains current certifications in required emergency response trainings (i.e. BLS)
- Completes all Organizational, Department of Nursing and Department-Specific competency training/requirements within specified timeframe.
