As a Security Officer Armed in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and responding to security-related concerns in a professional manner at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Maintain a visible armed presence while following all applicable laws, Allied Universal protocols, and site-specific policies related to the assignment of an armed post.
• Document observations, incidents, and daily activities in required reports, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors, staff, visitors, and/or local authorities as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
