SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

What Success Looks Like

  • Accurate and timely completion of month-end close
  • High-quality, audit-ready reconciliations
  • Clear and actionable financial insights

Month-End GL Close

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments
  • Support and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Review general ledger activity and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances
  • Prepare and maintain detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
  • Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger (AP, AR, fixed assets)
  • Maintain supporting schedules and roll forwards

Asset Management & Technical Accounting

  • Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Maintain amortization schedules for leases, prepaid expenses, and other assets
  • Manage accounting process in areas such as leases and intercompany transactions, including consolidation of financial statements and preparation of supporting schedules

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests
  • Assist with tax-related filings and reporting requirements
  • Maintain documentation for audit readiness and internal control compliance, including supporting ongoing internal controls monitoring and testing activities

Cross-Functional Support & Process Improvement

  • Partner with AP, AR, and operations teams to resolve accounting issues
  • Provide guidance on proper coding and accounting treatment
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Support ERP system enhancements and reporting tools

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Manufacturing or inventory experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
