DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports several divisions by managing financial records, inventory, communication, and general office tasks. The role helps ensure that information and materials move smoothly between headquarters and district offices. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Account Management: Maintain the Bureau Main Account and handle Treasury deposits according to submitted documentation
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain inventory records, conduct annual counts, and assist with purchasing and travel processes
- Report Review: Review and approve Travel Expense Reports submitted by personnel
- Record Maintenance: File paperwork and update databases as needed
- Office Reception: Answer telephones and greet visitors in a professional manner
- Correspondence Support: Prepare and type general and confidential correspondence and scan documents for distribution

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:15am to 4:15pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- One (1) year or more of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Quickbooks.
- One (1) year or more of experience working with financial documents and balancing checkbooks.
- One (1) year or more of experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and logs.
- One (1) year or more of experience working in a position that requires maintaining, updating, and purging files.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
