DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports essential accounting operations by processing financial transactions, reviewing records, and maintaining accurate data. Through your work, you will ensure that invoices, payments, and reports meet department policies and standards. As an Accounting Assistant, you will perform the following duties:
- Invoice Processing: Review invoices and select proper payment methods using financial systems
- Financial Tracking: Track transactions and verify account details for accuracy
- Report Review: Run financial reports and research differences in data
- Card Reconciliation: Match purchasing card transactions with receipts and records
- Vendor Support: Communicate with staff and vendors to resolve issues with payments or documents
- Data Entry: Enter and maintain financial data in systems with strong attention to detail

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
- An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
