DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be supporting the full hiring process for assigned program offices and guiding managers through selecting qualified candidates. Work involves ensuring hiring actions follow all rules, policies, and procedures. As a Human Resource Analyst 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Hiring Process Support: Review hiring requests and guiding managers on the most effective methods to fill positions
- Recruitment Preparation: Create accurate requisitions, develop posting strategies, and ensure all materials meet required standards
- Candidate Coordination: Move candidates through hiring steps, assist with interviews, and provide clear communication to applicants
- Compliance Review: Check recommendations, posting criteria, and hiring actions to ensure they meet legal and policy requirements
- Salary and Offer Guidance: Review salary placement, coordinate approvals, and support managers in making conditional offers
- Hire Action Processing: Verify and coordinate final hiring steps, including background checks, ePAR processing, and candidate notifications

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year as a Human Resource Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
