Plans, organize and control maintenance performed on aircraft in a safe and economical manner. Monitor discrepancies on existing aircraft while maintaining awareness of MX and flight schedules. Coordinate all MX with ground support activities as necessary. Essential Functions
Minimum Education Associate's degree/equivalent required. Current A&P licenses required. Minimum Experience Five (5) years AMT experience maintaining turbine powered, fixed or rotary wing aircraft that exceeds 12,500 lbs. Manufacturer empty weight (MEW) or as avionics technician. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of FedEx maintenance program, operation specification and applicable portion of FARs. Strong management, human relations and communication skills. Job Conditions Must be willing to work various shifts and odd work weeks. FAA covered safety sensitive position. Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
