Serves the company by managing the commissary warehouse operations, onboarding beverages and dry supplies to support flight operations. Oversee 24/7 commissary warehouse operations, including inventory management, vendor relations, and supply chain logistics to ensure accurate provisioning for flights. Supervise staff, maintain compliance, and optimize inventory levels to meet operational demands.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Manages and oversees 24/7 warehouse operations, coordinating all inventory transactions and managing physical inventory counts to ensure accuracy and service quality including local customs discrepancies/inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Manages operation directly with all vendors and coordinates their inventory of Company equipment and supplies.
  • Identifies, cleans, and replaces inoperative equipment (carts, carriers, ovens) and assists with the review, disposition, and mutilation of unserviceable parts.
  • Ensures proper inventory is prepped and sent to downline caterers (commissary stations).
  • Prepares, packs, and confirms catering orders, beverage containers, and supplies for downline stations, ensuring accurate inventory for departures/arrivalsMaintains product manual of supplies
  • Directs warehouse audits and station audits, tracks performance, and monitors for inventory or planning deficiencies in line with commissary standards and inventory control procedures.
  • Provides direction to procurement with parts replenishment and allocation recommendations based on operational needs.
  • Assists the GSE Department with unserviceable parts review and disposition, including providing recommendations on scrap/repair decisions and ensures condemned parts are mutilated in accordance with company policy (Commissary vehicle related).
  • Communicates any inventory or planning deficiencies; tracks and monitors performance.
  • Prepares and confirms catering orders, commissary containers, and beverage containers, revising meal orders and responding to crisis situations in order to mitigate catering delays, flight cancellations and other irregularities.
  • Reviews catering/commissary invoices for accuracy and reports discrepancies to the Director Ground Operations Logistics and Manager Ground Operations Logistics.
  • Reviews, develops and implements processes to ensure efficient material handling, inventory accuracy and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains proper supplies and equipment for the safe packaging and transport of equipment and business class items.
  • Ensures that staff are properly trained and qualified to accomplish job related functions.
  • Ensures that safe workplace conditions are maintained in accordance with all local, federal and regulatory requirements.
  • Attends daily operations meetings
  • Oversee daily commissary warehouse operations, including dry supply kits, onboard beverages, catering supplies, and operational inventory.
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained for onboard commissary items including beverages, dry supplies, and other supplies.
  • Oversee commissary inventory forecasting and replenishment planning to support aircraft routing and station operational demands.
  • Ensure commissary supply levels, onboard beverage quantities, and provisioning standards remain aligned with company CMS requirements and applicable CBA provisions.
  • Supervise Commissary Leads, warehouse personnel, and station commissary staff supporting the commissary operation..
  • Manage relationships with commissary vendors, catering vendors, warehouse suppliers, and transportation providers to support operational requirements.
  • Coordinate purchasing and inventory distribution for commissary supplies, catering products, and onboard crew supplies.
  • Oversee warehouse organization, storage systems, inventory accuracy, and stock rotation processes related to commissary inventory.
  • Develop and maintain commissary SOPs, operational procedures, and inventory control processes.
  • Utilize Veoci and other operational systems for commissary warehouse inventory management, flight tracking, aircraft provisioning visibility, and station inventory oversight.
  • Utilize Tableau forecasting and planning tools to monitor aircraft routing, commissary usage trends, and station inventory levels to ensure all flights are properly stocked with required commissary supplies and onboard beverages.
  • Analyze operational data and usage trends to improve commissary forecasting, reduce waste, and optimize onboard supply levels.
  • Support station audits and operational reviews to ensure compliance with commissary standards and inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain qualifications related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Works on additional projects and initiatives as defined by the Director of Catering and other Ground Operations management including performing additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • BS/BA degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • 7 years' experience required. Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in aviation or related industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of logistical needs and coordination.
  • Familiar with all aspects of Ground and Cargo Operations including Loadmaster, handling hazardous materials, de-icing, fueling, catering, security, etc.
  • Experience with using and maintaining oversight within the Veoci program.
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Must have clean driving record and possess valid US driver license.
  • Proven warehouse/inventory management experience.
  • Strong vendor management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to travel to support stations.
  • Ability to organize and perform multiple assignments in a high-stress environment.
  • Ability to interact, communicate, and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and customers at all levels of management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage the activities of a diverse workforce.
  • Skilled analytical person with leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication, decision, and management skills.

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
