Are you a hands-on leader who thrives on keeping complex systems running at peak performance? As a Generation Maintenance Supervisor at our West Phoenix Power Plant, you'll lead a skilled team of union craft employees-mechanical maintenance specialists, E&I technicians, or a combination of both-to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality maintenance for our fossil generation units.

Major Accountabilities
1) Guides and leads team members by providing supervision, coaching, mentoring, performance management, training and discipline.Administers processes and procedures in accordance with union contract. Communicates company programs, announcements, policies, etc. to employees.Provides feedback from employees to management. 2) Supervises craft personnel to ensure all assigned maintenance activities are performed safely and effectively and in accordance with plant procedures, regulations, and site schedule.Ensures department personnel are properly supervised, trained and qualified to perform assignments. 3) Implements and assures compliance with the Fossil Generation Conduct of Maintenance Process which provides guidance and work practices for conducting maintenance activities in a manner that promotes safety and quality. 4) Participates in various aspects of work control, coordination, scheduling and engineering meetings involving load reductions, forced outages and planned outages activities to ensure that work is properly assigned, planned and ready to work. 5) Participates in all aspects of Maintenance Department management to ensure proper maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment and to support safe and efficient operation of the plant including the development, implementation and performance monitoring of all corporate, site and business unit goals. For positions at Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Stations (PVNGS) all openings will require applicants to be a U.S. person. CIP Requirement: This position requires Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) access consistent with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. The applicant considered for this role will be required to obtain and maintain CIP access for the duration of employment in this position. A full seven (7) year criminal history will be obtained through the pre-employment background check process (or, for current employees, through supplemental background check process) to fulfill the CIP access requirements. In addition, this position requires an additional background check every seven years to maintain access. Onsite: Requires work to be performed in the field and/or at an APS facility.
