Responsibilities:
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Maintains JCAHO guidelines and ACR guidelines.
- Oversees daily activities of the radiology staff to optimize productivity and census manages when appropriate.
- Ensures the delivery of quality service in area of operations. Acts as an educational resource and is available for consultation to medical, nursing and administrative staff.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as required or directed.
- Establishes and maintains communications within the department and with other hospital departments. Develops relationships with professional affiliations and others as is appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree required. Associates Degree/Diploma in Radiology.
- Three to five years experience in Radiology Supervision, preferred.
- New Mexico State License in Radiologic Technology (NMRRT) required.
