Security Officer - Part Time

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Assists, if needed, with written reports regarding security-related incidents involving guests, employees and/or the property.

  
  
• 
  

  Escorts and observes guests and employees to ensure their safety and protection.

  
  
• 
  

  Identifies potential safety hazards and reports same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.

  
  
• 
  

  Knows hazardous materials used on property and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing same.

  
  
• 
  

  Serves as dispatcher during emergency situations, as needed, and coordinates solutions.

  
  
• 
  

  Inform outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.

  
  
• 
  

  Operates company vehicles as directed.

  
  
• 
  

  Ensures safe transportation of company monies and gaming tokens.

  
  
• 
  

  Assists in the opening and closing of gaming tables.

  
  
• 
  

  Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained throughout the property. Lives by the Hard Rock values.

  
  
• 
  

  Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.

  
  
• 
  

  Maintains a series of keys to access locked areas, as necessary.

  
  
• 
  

  Requests and accept identification from all people who appear to be under the age of 21 to ensure compliance with federal and state gaming regulations.

High School (preferred)

Must be able to lift, carry and/or move 50 pounds boxes and carts. (preferred)
Must be able to work in a smoky environment. (preferred)
Must be able to work while wearing radio earpieces. (preferred)
Must be able to work in an environment where there are constant flashing lights and noise. (preferred)
Must be able to stand for an eight-hour shift. (preferred)
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos, instructions, regulations. (preferred)
Basic reading and math skills. (preferred)
