The Opportunity

Are you a data-driven problem solver who thrives on turning complex datasets into competitive advantages? Trimble is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Platform team. You will be the technical backbone of our growth strategy, analyzing the intersection of global infrastructure trends and SaaS performance to identify exactly where and how we should expand.

What Makes This Role Great

This isn't just about building dashboards; it's about discovery. You will leverage modern AI tools and predictive analytics to move beyond traditional reporting, helping to build the "Strategic Growth Engines" that transform how the world builds and operates. You will have direct exposure to senior leaders, providing the data-backed evidence they need to make high-stakes capital allocation decisions.

What You Will Do
  • Data Mining & Interpretation: Analyze complex business problems using internal SaaS metrics and external market data to provide actionable insights for decision-makers.

  • Trend & Pattern Analysis: Identify and interpret trends within AECO datasets to locate market influences, regional shifts, and product-led growth opportunities.

  • Strategic Forecasting: Construct data-driven forecasts and tactical plans based on deep market knowledge and business data to support the Platform division. Drive the monthly and quarterly forecasting process for the Platform division, translating SaaS metrics (ARR, Churn, Retention) into predictable financial outcomes.

  • Variance & Performance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive variance analysis of actuals versus budget, identifying the "why" behind the numbers and providing actionable insights to senior leaders to optimize capital allocation.

  • Business Advisory: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to International Public Sector leaders, providing budgetary guidance and cost-benefit analyses for new product-led growth initiatives.

  • Technical Specifications: Create detailed specifications for reports and custom analyses based on evolving business needs and available data elements.

  • AI & Automation: Experiment with modern data tools (predictive analytics, anomaly detection) to automate manual reporting and improve the accuracy of our global growth models.

  • Collaborative Consulting: Directly produce datasets and reports for cross-functional teams, serving as a technical consultant to help users interpret data and address business bottlenecks.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
  • The Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a relevant Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Finance role. Experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment is preferred.

  • Technical Mastery: Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, or Power BI. You should be comfortable building and maintaining your own data pipelines and dashboards.

  • Analytical Mindset: A self-starter mentality with the ability to focus on granular data details while understanding how they impact the "Big Picture" of global infrastructure.

  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to take a broad business question and translate it into a technical data query that yields a clear answer.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

What Skills & Experience You Could Bring
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Insights or other FP&A/EPM platforms.

  • Interest or experience in predictive modeling and AI-assisted reconciliations.

  • Knowledge of the AECO industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operations).
