Consumer Solutions Regional Growth Leader

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from any Aon office in the West region (preferred) or elsewhere west of the Mississippi River.

What the day will look like

Manage and Lead Sales Team

  • Manage direct reports including sales professionals, solution architects and sales admin assistant
  • Specifically accountable for individual and team quota as well as sales goal achievement
  • Partner with other stakeholders within Health and Benefits, Elective Benefits and Enrollment Solutions practices including operations, product development, other sales teams, marketing and leadership
  • Foster a culture of thoughtful growth
  • Manage routines and key functions of sales team including CRM management, pipeline management, and lead generation activities
  • Help create and drive elective benefits and enrollment solutions value propositions for distribution partners
  • Assist in developing internal training and educational materials
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop marketing materials and sales collateral
  • Manage the performance of individual team members
  • Serve as a point of escalation and conflict resolution
  • Support and lead strong post sale transitions between sales and operations, legal, finance and other key partners

Client Solutioning

  • Drive positive client outcomes throughout the entire sales process
  • Support elective benefits and enrollment solutions "best practices" approach to drive best models to solve client challenges and optimize Aon financials
  • Help manage the message with a strong voice and leadership regarding best solutions for all possible scenarios across Aon distribution channels
  • Brainstorm solution strategies
  • Assist with underwriting
  • Develop a fluency in financial models
  • Qualification and disqualification of deals

Elective Benefits / Enrollment Solutions Product Strategy

  • Represent sales as an "outside in" perspective for product development input
  • Contribute to carrier plan design strategy and development as needed
    • Maintain a connection to carrier management leadership as plan development and solution champion

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Fifteen plus years of progressive sales experience in the group health insurance space
  • Experience selling counselor enrollment for an employer's Open Enrollment/New Hires support as well as Voluntary Benefits solutions strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing and coaching a team of direct reports
  • Proficiency in leading strategic thinking around innovation and solutioning with a strong client and commercial lens
  • Ability to work in matrixed environment and manage through influence

Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $200,000 to $240,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
