Description - Must have expereince with payments/money movement, wires, etc Role: Product Owner (Manager/Sr Manager - Product) Key responsibilities include: * Providing central product leadership of a suite of products or key features for Amex deposit products supporting Money Movement and Debit * Define the digital product roadmap, new features, scope and prioritize the backlog for Money Movement and Debit features and enhancements * Partner with engineering, design, and user research to define user stories, user experience, and conduct user testing * Collaborate with matrixed teams and partners to launch digital products and features, managing in-market digital products post-launch * Obtain feedback on the product, using data, analytics, and customer input, to iterate and drive improvements in future releases * Lead digital product relationship with partners, merchants, and vendors * Maintain pulse on external digital product development trends, marketplace dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform continuous product evolution Qualifications: * Enthusiasm for exceptional products and services, able to empathize with customers, and skilled at articulation of product functionality * Understanding of Agile principles and experience effectively managing a backlog using Jira or any other development management software. * Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to make connections and find opportunities with an entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action * Strong decision-making skills and the ability to resolve complex problems independently * Excellent communication skills across distributed and global teams with ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment * Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results * Experience in new product development, product management, or similar role * Bachelor's degree required Skills product ownership, backlog management, Agile, Product management, Jira, Scrum Additional Skills & Qualifications Ideal candidates will becoming from payments industry with experience working on money movement products such as: First preference: Wires, ACH, FedNow, Real-time payments/ RTP Second preference: Checks - such as mobile check deposit (older) Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of New York, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
