- Reports to the Finance organization, but the position is embedded within purchasing operations
- Acting as liaison between purchasing operations and every respective finance function (purchasing, finance, accounting, treasury, etc.)
- Supporting commodity division in achievement of their business plan objectives
- Supporting the efficient and timely development, tracking and implementation of savings initiatives
- Reviewing all proposed economic increase contract changes (contractual and discretionary) to ensure the appropriate level of analysis and scrutiny has been completed prior to granting approvals
- Actively participating in sourcing process, providing financial guidance, and enforcing corporate controls
- Conducting non-standard contract reviews prior to finalization to ensure proper reviews and governance
- Acting as North America finance representative within extended global purchasing team
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in order to guide purchasing operations
- Motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently and multi-task
- Excellent written, oral and listening communication skills
- Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the general purchase-to-pay process and big picture view of the product cost development process
- Familiarity with SOX and audit requirements
