As a Security Officer Armed Detention Center Perm Hospital in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer serving a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and professionalism. Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear and timely reports and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public officials as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and support security-related screening and credential checks in accordance with site procedures and applicable post orders.
• Assist with emergency situations, alarms, evacuations, and/or requests for assistance while maintaining a visible presence and following Allied Universal standards and location-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A corrections officer license is required.
• A law enforcement officer license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
