As a Security Officer Retail Crossing Guard in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while responding to site needs with the agile, reliable, and innovative approach that defines Allied Universal.

Position Type: Full Time / Late Day Shift

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and sharing details with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support access control practices, observe visitor activity, and report issues involving loitering, theft concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Assist with closing procedures, after-hours checks, and/or other assigned duties that help support daily operations and a professional environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
