Job Description




As a Security Patrol Driver - Building Access Control in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and foot patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access activity, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and reflect our agile, reliable, innovative culture built on teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time / Mix Shift

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobbies, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required by site policy, and support orderly entry and exit procedures for employees, guests, and/or deliveries.
  • Observe the location for security-related issues such as suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, and report findings promptly in accordance with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
