Role Overview
VersAbility Resources is seeking an experienced and strategic Deputy Manager to support Government Contract operations within the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Administrative Services division.
This leadership role assists in overseeing large-scale contract operations, supervising a multi-site workforce, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and contract requirements. The Deputy Manager plays a critical role in supporting daily operations, driving performance, and maintaining high-quality service delivery.

What You'll Do
*Support oversight of government contracts across multiple locations
*Assist in supervising a workforce of 80+ employees and supporting leadership activities
*Partner with the Senior Manager to manage daily operations, scheduling, and task assignments
*Ensure compliance with contract requirements, including OSHA, Department of Labor, and federal regulations
*Monitor contract performance and ensure quality standards are met
*Participate in hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
*Develop and maintain employee schedules and workforce planning strategies
*Conduct audits and analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
*Support payroll processes, timekeeping, and administrative functions
*Maintain relationships with government stakeholders and external agencies
*Provide training on government systems and processes
*Assist with CAC card processing and IT coordination
*Serve as backup to the Senior Manager as needed
*Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree in business management or related field (preferred)
*Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams in government or commercial services
*Experience overseeing operations across multiple locations
*Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferred)
*Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
*Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
*Ability to manage large teams, multiple priorities, and complex operations
*Project management certification (PMP or similar) preferred
*Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment supporting a government contract, with occasional coordination across multiple sites.
Work is primarily sedentary, with extended periods of sitting, computer use, and team coordination. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting may be required.

Schedule
This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 700 AM to 330 PM (40 hours per week). Occasional flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
