About the Position:
The Configuration Management Planning and Verification Change Specialist role is primarily responsible for supporting the technical data package (TDP) through the review of contract requirements, extraction of applicable data, and delivery to the customer on time with high fidelity. This position also ensures configuration control compliance through effective configuration status accounting (CSA) and adherence to contract requirements and industry standards such as EIA-649. In addition, the role supports a variety of configuration management activities, including functional and physical audits, contract data requirement list (CDRL) packaging, product structure review and maintenance, and supplier configuration management. This position is essential to delivering high-quality, compliant documentation and supporting the overall success of our configuration management objectives.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
- Interface with departments such as Engineering, Logistics, and Design Services to ensure that configuration control activities are in sync with the priorities of key Wheeled, Tracked and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
- Familiar with configuration control process and procedures related to problem reports, change requests (CR), and change orders (COs)
- Assist in Preparation of CO/RFV packages for Configuration Control Board (CCB) review
- Create agendas, schedule, and conduct Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings
- Extract and package all contractual required data for Engineering Release Records (ERR) for Wheeled, Tracked, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
- Author and submit Configuration Management (CM) Plans according to contractual requirements
- Support Change Specialist 1 activities as required
- Create various data deliverables to support contractual requirements where configuration management owns and/or maintains data and submit to Data Management for delivery to customer
- Participate and/or author technical data package (TDP) and technical data package list (TDPL) deliverables to support program requirements
- Assist with as-design bill of material (BOM) structure through updating required attribution
- Maintain accurate data files and records through proper configuration status accounting (CSA)
- Rudimentary understanding of vehicle production line effectivity, quality, and program milestones
- Prepare for, attend, and conduct a physical configuration audits (PCA)
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a technical discipline desired (e.g., Engineering or Supply Chain)
- Preferred 3 - 5 years of experience with Teamcenter performing as either a Change Specialist, Change Analyst or comparable engineering support function
- Preferred proficiency in analyzing technical data including engineering drawings, specifications, and change documentation
- Proficiency in Configuration Management identification, release, and change control processes
- Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
- Proficient communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Detail-oriented
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office applications
- Goal-oriented and able to work under time sensitive and demanding conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Configuration Management principles and methods contained in ASNI/EIA 649, EIA-649-1, ISO 10007, and MIL HDBK-61A.
- Familiarity with data management principles and methods contained in GEIA-859, DoD Directive 5230.24, and MIL-STD-31000B.
- Previous Configuration Management experience and CM2 certification
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management / Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Experience collaborating across markets and functions
