Job Summary:

Assists in tasks associated with concrete finishing such as smoothing and finishing surfaces on poured concrete andoperating a variety of hand and power tools.

Main Responsibilities:

* Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
* Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
* Observe safety procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly
* Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete
* Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms
* Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms with rake or shovel
* Molds expansion joints and edges
* Sprinkles colored stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder on concrete to produce prescribed finish.
* Operate a variety of equipment including trucks, backhoes, air compressors, hydro hammers, jackhammers, pumps, loaders, concrete saws and mixers, hammer drills, generators and hand tools, and equipment
* Directs subgrade work, mixing of concrete, and setting of forms
* Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces

Education:

* High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
* Valid drivers' license with ability to maintain a clean driving record required

Skills:

* Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in concrete finishing preferred
* Must be able to work out of town and weekends if needed

Physical Requirements:

* Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
* Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
* Regularly required to use hands to manipulate and handle objects
* Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
* Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
* Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
* Frequent exposure to loud noise
* Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
* Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
