Product Owner III

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner III - Onsite for a contract-to-hire position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; or Phoenix, AZ. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for a Product Owner of the design system component library for primary online banking and account opening digital experiences. The successful candidate will work with design and engineering teams to manage the delivery and stability of UI components. This position will own the vision and definition of the product, serving as the voice of the customer and ensuring the team's effort is concentrated on the right priorities based on business value.

Responsibilities:

• Own the vision and definition of the product, serving as the voice of the customer
• Understand business goals, objectives, and OKRs and communicate business value to inspire and motivate the design system crew
• Manage the delivery and stability of UI components (e.g., buttons, text input fields) to development crews
• Coordinate with component library development crews to communicate and facilitate changes
• Work directly with design pods for design requirements on new and enhanced components, design governance, and delivering tech components
• Work with other Design System Product Owners on PI planning and maintain component library roadmaps
• Coordinate long-term maintenance, vulnerability remediation, and tech dependencies
• Analyze and break down market problems into prioritized, deliverable stories
• Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a related role
• Experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries
• Knowledge of ADA Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2)
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Proficiency with Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira)
• Experience with collaborative interface design tools such as Figma
• Good knowledge of Storybook
• Experience with design and engineering collaboration
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Development or engineering experience

• Critical thinking and analytical approach
• Systems thinking mindset

Pay range: $45.43 - $53.43 per hour
