Our Children’s Trust is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Legal team.
The position is a salary, non-exempt, a member of the OCTWA Bargaining Union and is benefit eligible. Benefits include 100% employer paid medical and dental for employee, long and short-term disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, 15 days of vacation in the first year, 12 sick days, and 15 company holidays and 5 floating holidays, 6-weeks fully paid Family Medical Leave and 6 weeks of Restorative leave after 6 years.
The compensation range for this position is $69,030 - $79,600, with a starting salary based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
This position is a remote position, with Pacific Time Zone preferred. Work is primarily performed Monday through Friday during regular business hours; however, evening and weekend hours may be necessary dependent upon case activity, deadlines, and workload. Some travel may be required at the cost of Our Children’s Trust. An ideal candidate will have: 5-7+ years of litigation paralegal experience a high level of dependability, being able to respond quickly to litigation needs including short deadlines, a demonstrated commitment to legal excellence; have multijurisdictional experience in the fields of constitutional, human rights, environmental, and/or civil rights litigation; high proficiency with Westlaw, Microsoft 365, docket management, timekeeping, client management, document management software, and Bluebook; and high level of self-management and agency. Position Summary: Reporting to the Senior Litigation Paralegal, the Litigation Paralegal will assist the Deputy Director Litigation Practice, Deputy Director U.S. Strategy, and Senior and Staff Attorneys by reviewing, preparing, and filing court papers in jurisdictions across the United States; researching and summarizing court rules; managing electronic discovery; providing clerical and basic research support services, including document preparation and review; research and fact-checking; trial preparation; and plaintiff support. This position will also provide scheduling and meeting support for the legal team and plaintiffs.
