Medical Receptionist - GI Newport News VA Pay From: $21 Per Hour MUST: 3+years of recent medical office experience in a private practice specialty office Experience working for a GI practice a plus Strong customer service skills Experience checking patients in and collecting insurance information Verifying insurance and processing referrals Scheduling procedures and appointments Printing up no show list and sending to billing to charge patients Reviewing procedure prep and procedures with patients Strong documentation skills Ability to work in a high volume practice setting DUTIES: The Medical Receptionist's duties include but are not limited to the following: Check patients in and collect and verify insurance Process referrals Schedule procedure appointments Check patients out Obtain pre-auths Entering patient information into EMR Collecting co-pays and outstanding payments Providing customer service Assisting patients as needed Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
