Job Description

HEICO Component Repair Group, a global leader in the overhaul and repair of aircraft components, is looking for a Fuel Technician to join our team.


The candidate will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft fuel system components, including HMUs, Fuel Control Units, pumps, valves, and actuators. This role ensures all components are restored to serviceable condition following customer OEM specifications, company procedures, and FAA requirements. The Technician will work with the Quality Control and Engineering departments to maintain accuracy and remain in compliance with the standards.


Key Responsibilities



  • Perform teardown, cleaning, inspection, and repair of fuel system components
  • Interpret and follow OEM maintenance manuals
  • Perform testing and calibration of fuel components using test benches and specialized equipment
  • Document all work performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements
  • Identify parts required for repair and coordinate with Purchasing, Stockroom, or Production Planning as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  • Adhere to safety procedures, including the handling of fuel residues and hazardous materials

Requirements

Skills and Education Experience



  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Airframe & Powerplant license preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience repairing fuel components
  • Strong understanding of aircraft fuel systems
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measuring tools
  • Familiarity with test equipment and calibration procedures
  • Understanding of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to read and write in English


Physical Demands



  • Ability to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
  • Ability to work around fuels, solvents, and other chemicals while wearing the appropriate PPE
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
