HR Business Partner - Providence High School - Hybrid

Responsible for planning, directing, and implementing human resource policies, programs, and activities in support of operational and strategic goals. The role advises on people strategy and serves as a change agent across the High School Ministry. Performs all duties in a manner that promotes the mission, values, and philosophies of Providence High School. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for these values and missions. This position is Hybrid and will typically work four days a week on site.

Essential Functions:



  • Plan, design, and implement dynamic HR initiatives in staffing, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, and training to enhance outcomes for faculty, staff, and students, driving success at Providence High School.
  • Collaborate with HR leaders at Providence St. Joseph Health to ensure alignment with system policies and practices, while proactively integrating equity and social justice priorities to foster an inclusive workplace.
  • Partner with the Head of School and finance team to develop and administer comprehensive compensation, insurance, retirement, and benefits programs.
  • Cultivate a diverse, skilled workforce, forecast future needs, drive retention, prevent burnout, and set clear employment objectives.
  • Act as the primary liaison for employee benefits, ensuring accurate and swift service.
  • Lead payroll processes, ensure precise transmission of information, and oversee HR efforts for ERP upgrades and projects.
  • Analyze program costs, monitor budgets, and collaborate on competitive compensation strategies.
  • Stay updated on federal and state labor laws, ensuring compliance and clear communication to staff.
  • Address complex employee relations issues with expertise, support a positive community culture, provide risk management advice, and train supervisors in conflict resolution.
  • Lead the HR team, champion employee engagement, lead performance development processes, and equip leaders through training and development opportunities.
  • Streamline hiring and off-boarding processes, ensure compliance with employment contracts, represent the school in HR matters with vendors, and contribute to committees.
  • Serve as an integral Leadership Team member, bringing innovation and collaboration.

Required Qualifications:



  • 5 years Progressive experience in Human Resources including experience with compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee engagement action planning, hiring and on-boarding, and talent management.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in business, Human Resources or other related program
  • 2 years people leadership
  • Upon hire: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - Human Resource Certification Institute Or
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) - Human Resource Certification Institute Or
  • Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) Or
  • Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP)

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
