STRUCTURED CORPORATE CREDIT ("SCC")

Goldman Sachs is seeking a Vice President to join our SCC team in the New York office.

SCC is a growth area within Private Credit, focusing on financings backed by various forms of corporate credit support. SCC provides flexible, long-term capital solutions to investment grade corporates globally to fund growth, M&A, and asset monetization, engaging in a broad range of structured solutions as well as a wide range of asset classes, products, industries, and sectors, including digital infrastructure, power, consumer, industrials, real estate, utilities and healthcare.

The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of full-time experience across investment banking or private credit investing, with a proven track record in sourcing, structuring, and underwriting transactions. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about investing in a growing business and want to build a long-term career at Goldman Sachs.

Responsibilities



  • Leading and managing end-to-end deal execution across the investment lifecycle, including structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments
  • Engaging in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis
  • Understanding and maintaining comprehensive financial models
  • Sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities, developing investment theses, and undertaking significant due diligence responsibilities
  • Communicating and defending investment theses and structures to internal stakeholders and committees, including relevant Investment Committees
  • Contributing to platform expansion and potentially the introduction of new investment strategies


Qualifications



  • 7-10+ years of investment banking, structured finance, or private credit experience, with a proven track record of managing multiple transactions concurrently
  • Clear understanding of the private credit industry, including key subsector trends, thematics, current dynamics, and risks
  • Proven ability to interact and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative mindset, with a demonstrated ability to analyze a variety of industries, businesses, and capital structures
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments
