Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a part time Work Assistant for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction and supervision of the PI, the Work Assistant for the Department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, is to engage in research and program related activities. The Work Assistant will work directly with Dr. Ryan Khanna on clinical spine research projects, outcomes research, and academic manuscripts. This position is intended for a motivated candidate interested in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, or academic medicine. The assistant will help manage clinical research databases, assist with manuscript preparation, and support ongoing clinical research projects in spine surgery.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assist with clinical research projects in spine surgery, including outcomes research and database studies.
- Maintain and organize clinical research databases (Excel, REDCap, MarketScan, etc.).
- Assist with data collection, data entry, and data verification for research studies.
- Perform literature reviews and assist with manuscript and abstract preparation.
- Assist in preparation of presentations for academic conferences and research meetings.
- Help coordinate research efforts with medical students, residents, and research collaborators.
