Job Description

We are looking for students to participate in an 8-week full-time paid program. The students will have opportunities to experience all aspects of Content creation and production. All positions are in person at our Long Island City Photo and Content Studios. Please note that all housing and transportation are not included.



  • Reports To: Director, Video Production
  • Program Start: June 1st, 2026
  • Program End: July 24th, 2026
  • New Hires Orientation: June 1st, 2026
  • Rate: $20 p/hr. (4.5 days' work week/ 8 weeks/ full-time)


Macy's is seeking a Summer Video Production Intern to support the Video team in producing content for digital, social, and marketing channels. This internship provides hands-on experience across the full production process, including pre - production planning, on-set production, and post-production editing and management

Responsibilities



  • Support studio and on-location shoots, including camera setup, lighting assistance, and general production support
  • Assist with digital tech tasks such as media management, file transfers, and backing up footage
  • Help organize production equipment and maintain on-set workflow
  • Provide post-production support, including organizing footage, assisting with edits, and preparing assets for review.
  • Create and complete a collaborative capstone project to be showcased at the end of the residency


Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field
  • Basic familiarity with video production equipment and workflows
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar editing software preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
