Job Overview

Responsible for developing, supervising, and maintaining the housekeeping department. Ensuring all staff follow proper facility and state requirements. Also, it is a vital part of the interdisciplinary team and Quality Assurance teams and ensures that all housekeeping items are addressed as directed.

Qualifications:

• Must have housekeeping experience in a supervisory role, or 2 years supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission JCAHO inspections & also infectious waste procedures Scheduling Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
• Including bending, stooping and stretching

Scheduling Requirements

Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Shift working: Evening 2:30pm 11:00pm

Full Time

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must know how to use common housecleaning implements such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads to keep areas clean and well serviced,
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions
• Work with constant concern for the safety of all people, patients, visitors etc.
• Interacts in a positive manner with coworkers in all departments to accomplish the goals and objectives of the hospital for effective patient care
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Perform other duties as may be assigned
