Summary

The Accounting and Finance Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the accounting and finance functions of the organization. This role supports day-to-day operations, reporting logistics, documentation, and coordination activities for the holding company and its subsidiary banks. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information in a regulated environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Support



  1. Provide administrative support to accounting and finance leadership and staff
  2. Maintain calendars, deadlines, and schedules related to accounting close, audits, and reporting
  3. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute materials
  4. Manage department files, documentation, and records (electronic and physical)


Accounting & Finance Support



  1. Assist with preparation, organization, and distribution of financial reports and schedules
  2. Compile data and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end processes
  3. Assist with basic data entry, report formatting, and spreadsheet maintenance
  4. Track invoices, approvals, and documentation for accounting and finance departments


Audit & Regulatory Coordination



  1. Assist with audit preparation by organizing requested documentation and schedules
  2. Track audit requests and coordinate responses with internal teams
  3. Support regulatory exam preparation through document management and follow-up
  4. Maintain audit and exam request logs and supporting files


Communication & Coordination



  1. Serve as a point of contact for internal requests related to accounting and finance documentation
  2. Coordinate information flow between the holding company and subsidiary banks
  3. Communicate professionally with internal staff, auditors, regulators, and vendors


General Office & Project Support



  1. Assist with department projects and special assignments as needed
  2. Support process improvements related to documentation, filing, and reporting workflows
  3. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial and personnel information


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience; financial services or accounting environment preferred


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to format reports, manage spreadsheets, and maintain organized files
  • Experience with document management systems and accounting software a plus
