Scheduler, Infusion Central Scheduling Team - Monmouth Location

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are looking for a scheduler to join the Infusion Central Scheduling Team in our Monmouth location.

This team was created to standardize the management of appointment requests, achieve institution-wide goals, reduce scheduling escalations, and enhance our patients' experience. The team is responsible for scheduling chemotherapy appointments and coordinating appointments across multiple sites.

Role Overview:

• Engaging directly with patients during infusion visits

• Scheduling all future appointments, chair-side in the unit

• Working from the scheduling work queue when not assisting patients

• Focusing exclusively on scheduling duties (will not be taking vitals)

• Partnering closely with Infusion and clinic MCs to ensure seamless coordination

• Serve as a subject matter expert for all infusion scheduling

• Schedule all infusion appointments across multiple sites according to patient needs and specified parameters

• Reschedule and cancel appointments as requested

• Work as part of a team by collaborating with other staff members, participating in training, orientation, and mentorship for new schedulers

• Completes special projects as assigned by the manager or supervisor

Key Qualifications:

• Experience with infusion scheduling in the EPIC system

• Outstanding organization and communication skills

• Familiarity with medical terminology

• Confident under pressure

• Articulate and able to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner

• Able to quickly and decisively take action in constantly evolving, unpredictable situations

• Detail-Oriented

Additional Information:

• Hours: 8-hour shifts, 5 days/week, between the hours of 8 am - 8 pm

• Hybrid Schedule: 4 days onsite per week

• Location: MSK Monmouth, 480 Red Hill Road, Middletown, NJ
