What You'll do:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join a large intelligence program.

Job Description

  • Manage the day-to-day operations, security, and performance of AWS cloud infrastructure and schedule workloads.
  • Assist with provisioning and basic configuration of AWS resources such as EC2, S3, IAM users/roles, and VPC components.
  • Perform routine checks on system health, storage usage, and instance status.
  • Perform basic agent health checks and restart services when documented procedures exist.
  • Apply IAM policies and access changes based on approved requests.
  • Support cost monitoring efforts by identifying underutilized resources.
  • Execute scheduled backups and verify backup completion.
  • Assist in routine disaster recovery tests and documentation updates.
  • Keep Systems running smoothly and securely.
  • Participate in the planning, development, and deployment of platform components, services, and applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility to hold SCI and obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • On-site in National Capital Region with customer 4-5 days a week.
  • Experience managing administration of AWS accounts and IAM policies.
  • Experience managing various AWS Cloud resources, including EC2, EBS, S3, EKS, and RDS.
  • Experience owning and leading multiple AWS accounts and the associated infrastructure.
  • DevSecOps infrastructure experience.
  • Security+ certification or alternate DOD 8140 certification.
    • - CISSP, CCSP, CEH, PenTest+, CASP+, CySA+, SSCP, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with OpenShift service mesh.
  • Experience managing containerized Linux environments on microservices platforms, including container image configuration, security patching, STIG and other compliance checks, health monitoring, and troubleshooting container and cluster resources.
  • Experience working with ISSO/ISSE on Risk Management Documentation.
  • Experience working with air-gapped repository and CI/CD Pipeline solutions.
  • Experience managing SQL database and caching solutions.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$116,724.00 - $209,019.00
