Description

Operations Lead will assist with the business functions and daily operations of the Institute/Center. The responsibilities for this position include personnel allocations, business operations, space and safety management, investigator and program support, as well as the interpretation and application of policies and procedures. The position supports multiple large and complex research efforts conducted by faculty and staff within the Institute and Research Center. The individual works with scientific and administrative leadership in the development and implementation of strategic plans, budgets and processes improvement initiatives. They will provide status reports as well as work with faculty, staff and stakeholders to assure that project goals are clearly defined and achieved.

Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Or

Minimum Work Experience
3 years Relevant work experience (Required)

Functional Accountabilities
Division Liaison
  • Leads various projects within a division by being the primary point person.
  • Serves as the liaison between the division and other internal/external stakeholders as needed
  • Leads division specific partnerships with various stakeholders including leadership at affiliated institutions.
  • Communicates barriers, challenges and any other issues to division leadership that affect operations and project progress
Budget and Financial Management
  • May be responsible for appropriate use of funds and resources.
  • Prepare documentation and projections to support new programs and the budget planning process.
  • Monitors division's monthly performance reports and budget variances and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Safety
  • Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance
  • Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation
  • Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation
  • Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication
  • Actively promote safety for patients, families, visitors and co-workers
  • Attend carefully to important details - practicing Stop, Think, Act and Review in order to self-check behavior and performance
