Overview

As a member of the operations management team, you will be responsible for providing direction, coaching and mentoring to a team of professional and technical staff responsible for the quality and delivery of the work. You will provide management representation to clients and develop the relationship of trust to enable TRC to support their growing needs.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profitability of your regional Transmission offices, key project staff assignments and initiatives, and managing staff utilizations.
  • Work with the other Transmission Engineering supervisors and managers for resource management optimization.
  • Ensure timely preparation and review of proposals, schedules, and budget estimates for client activities.
  • Ensure project teams meet or exceed client expectations, ensuring the highest quality product and most efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure proper administration of departmental and personnel policies, salary administration, training, employee development, and performance evaluations for the employees.
  • Lead recruiting activities including candidate identification, interviewing, and hiring.
  • Take a lead role in TLE growth regionally by participating in strategic planning, marketing services, and resource planning for a given list of targeted clients. Lead local sales efforts to attract new business and expand current business.
  • Ensure regular touchpoints with clients are being performed and that we are proactively addressing any client concerns and seeking further opportunities with them. Understand upcoming workload and budgets in order to situate ourselves to be successful in securing that work.
  • Interface with the SME team and ensure QA/QC processes and procedures are being implemented.
  • Ensure all aspects of TRC's safety processes and procedures are being implemented.
  • Work closely with supervisors to understand technical gaps within your team and provide training opportunities to fill those gaps.
  • Required to lead, develop and foster an innovative and collaborative work environment within TRC's Transmission Engineering practice.
  • Lead and mentor a team of professional and technical staff.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by applying knowledge of industry standards and civil / electrical engineering design principles specific to Overhead and Underground utility transmission systems. Provide QAQC support for projects when required.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of regional Client standards, procedures, requirements, and staffing needs for leveraging TRC resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical)
  • Registered Professional Engineer preferred
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Prior supervisor experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions quickly, juggle multiple tasks, communicate in a clear and concise manner, and provide effective leadership
  • Demonstrates high levels of integrity
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage an audience
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills
  • Will be required to travel (as required)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
