Job Title: Materials/Procurement Advanced Buyer

Duration: Contract to hire.

Location: Folsom California

Pay range: $30/hr. - $31/hr.


Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Advanced Buyer to support day-to-day procurement activities for manufacturing operations. This is a short-term, 4-month contract role focused on tactical buying, order execution, and material management in SAP. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in SAP for purchasing and inventory management, along with the ability to manage supplier communication and ensure timely material availability.

Key Responsibilities



  • Execute daily purchasing activities for raw materials, components, and supplies using SAP ERP
  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to support production needs
  • Work with suppliers on RFQs, pricing, and order confirmations
  • Respond to and resolve Accounts Payable inquiries (invoice discrepancies, payment issues, etc.)
  • Support procurement activities in Ariba (PO entry, supplier interaction)
  • Collaborate with internal teams (manufacturing, planning, supply chain) to ensure material availability
  • Assist with basic supplier coordination and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5+ years of purchasing / buyer experience (preferably in manufacturing environment)
  • Hands-on SAP experience (required) - purchasing, PO management, inventory
  • Experience with Ariba or similar procurement tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions
  • Good communication skills for supplier and internal coordination
