TITLE:3rs Shift Parts Washer

LOCATION: Avon, Ohio Onsite

SHIFT & HOURS: Sunday- Thursday (Friday Overtime Required)

Hiring Hourly Rate: $17.80hr + $2.00 Environmental Bonus

Custom Culinary, a subsidiary of Griffith Foods, is hiring a Parts Washer you are responsible for performing routine duties to ensure equipment in the mixing areas is cleaned, organized, and readily available to support efficient production flow.

As a Parts Washer your responsibilities will include:

  • Manually wash, sanitize, and maintain all food-contact and non-food-contact equipment, utensils, totes, and work areas in accordance with SSOP and GMP standards.
  • Inspect equipment, tools, and utensils for defects; report issues to maintenance or supervision and ensure all items meet safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and use cleaning chemicals according to specifications while following all safety protocols and utilizing proper PPE.
  • Handle and transport waste to designated areas, operate the baler, and prepare recyclable materials for proper disposal or pickup.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas including the COP room, break room, drains, and mixing department; operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and COP tanks.
  • Complete required cleaning logs (MSS), maintain organization of materials, and effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments while managing workload independently.

The Parts Washer position may be right for you if you:

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently follow cleaning procedures and hygiene standards.
  • Demonstrates caution, accountability, and awareness when working with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to disassemble, clean, and reassemble parts (e.g., pipes, pumps, gaskets).
  • Demonstrates attention to detail when inspecting equipment and work areas.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for maintaining standards.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and complete tasks on time.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Experience working in sanitation, food production, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience safely handling and using cleaning chemicals and sanitizers.
  • Experience cleaning and maintaining equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Experience handling waste disposal, recycling, and operating equipment such as balers or compactors.
  • Experience completing logs, checklists, or documentation accurately.
  • Willingness to support team needs and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Consistently follows safety procedures and guidelines.

What will set you apart:

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate and drive a forklift or electronic pallet jack to transport materials or goods.

Environmental Concerns

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Dust and odor present in environment.

2 Year Earning Potential Based on Performance

  • 6 Months - $18.25
  • 12 Months-$18.70
  • 24 Months- $19.16
