Job Summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a Sales Finance Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for managing trade liabilities and making recommendations on monthly trade accruals, ensuring reporting controls, and deliver customer and product profitability insights to internal functions like Sales Finance, Strategy, Operations and RGM. This role will provide critical support to the Sales Finance and Field teams and look to optimize current practices.

Work Environment

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Ewing, NJ and requires in- person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales teams through MBR connects or other touchbacks to review aged open liabilities and evaluate projected trade accruals.

  • Identify opportunities to release, trueup, or close open trade liabilities based on updated forecasts and current business activity.

  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and audit standards across all open liability reporting and processes.

  • Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the Customer Profitability tool.

  • Hold group and individual training sessions for Customer Profitability tool users, covering system navigation, dashboard functionality, and interpretation of key visualizations.

  • Leverage the Customer Profitability tool to partner with RGM and Sales on profitmodeling scenarios and decision support, providing guidance on analysis showcasing impacts across channels.

  • Analyze customer and product P&L performance using the Customer Profitability tool, including trend analysis across SRA's, coupons, slotting, and other key drivers.

  • Assist team with Trade exercises, identifying areas of improvement to help offset unfavourability.

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to work with complex concepts, leverage multiple data streams, draw inferences from predictive and prescriptive analytical tools

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide an articulated vision through the practice of "Strategic Thinking & Big Picture Orientation" to deliver optimal outcomes based on recommendations for short-term and long-term tactical initiatives

  • Working knowledge of MS Office with strong Excel Modeling and Power Point Presentation skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Balance Sheet and P&L relationship

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task effectively leading to decisive & agile decision making

  • Excellent inter-personal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience
  • BS degree from an accredited institution in Finance or Accounting (MBA preferred)

  • 2+ years of experience in the CPG or adjacent industry with demonstrated proficiency of P&L management and interaction with a diversified customer base

  • Knowledge of SAP, Siebel-TPM, Nielsen/IRI a plus

  • Ability to travel (<15%)

Compensation and Benefits

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000- $101,100. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
