| Duties & Responsibilities |
- Organize and lead multi-disciplinary research efforts.
- Supervise and mentor graduate, medical, and undergraduate students in research endeavors.
- Collaborate on teaching and research endeavors related to diseases of the brain with other departments.
- Liaise with marketing and Philanthropy to increase visibility and funding.
- Follow College of Medicine - Tucson organizational protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Human Subjects Protection Program (HSPP).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a biomedical field.
- Demonstrated track record of distinction in research in an academic research department.
