Duties & Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead multi-disciplinary research efforts.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate, medical, and undergraduate students in research endeavors.
  • Collaborate on teaching and research endeavors related to diseases of the brain with other departments.
  • Liaise with marketing and Philanthropy to increase visibility and funding.
  • Follow College of Medicine - Tucson organizational protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Human Subjects Protection Program (HSPP).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a biomedical field.
  • Demonstrated track record of distinction in research in an academic research department.
