Responsibilities

Position: Cashier

Location: Portofino Bay

Pay rate: $15.50

Schedule: Weekend availability is required.

We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team. You will be responsible for providing top-tier service, handling payments accurately, and ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. As the first point of contact, you will represent our brand with professionalism..

What you'll do

    Handle Payments & Cash: Accept cash and credit cards, provide accurate change, and issue receipts for every transaction.

  • Manage Your "Bank": Start every shift by counting your "bank" (starting cash) to ensure it's correct. You will also verify your total revenue against your transaction logs at the end of your shift.

  • Customer Service & Directions: Greet every customer with a professional attitude. You'll explain parking rates, answer phone calls promptly, and provide directions to local landmarks or streets when asked.

  • Keep Traffic Moving: Facilitate the flow of cars through the exit gates to prevent backups, ensuring a smooth experience for every driver.

  • Detailed Reporting: Keep an accurate record of cars entering and exiting the facility. You will also prepare shift reports and compile collected revenue once it reaches a certain amount during the day.

  • Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints calmly or ask a supervisor for help when needed. You will also fill out "Lost Ticket" forms if a customer cannot find their original ticket.

  • Maintain Your Workspace: Keep your booth clean and organized, and pick up any trash in the surrounding area to keep the location looking professional.

  • Reliability: Arrive on time for every scheduled shift, in a clean and complete uniform, ready to represent the company.



Qualifications

What you need

  • Education & Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred. We value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

  • Mathematical & Financial Accuracy: You must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). Ability to accurately calculate and provide change for cash transactions is essential.

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use a clock (including standard and military time), calculators, and credit card machines. You should be comfortable learning and operating our digital parking technology and cash register systems.

  • Language & Communication: Strong verbal English skills to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence. You must be able to effectively present information to customers, supervisors, and other employees in a professional manner.

  • Reasoning & Problem Solving: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. You should be able to stay calm and adapt to changes, delays, or standardized problem-solving situations.

  • Interpersonal Excellence: A proven "Service Mindset." You must maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor when speaking on the telephone and with the public, even during busy hours.

  • Reliability & Professionalism: A commitment to being on time for every scheduled shift and maintaining a clean, professional appearance in the required uniform.

  • Availability: Must be willing to work scheduled shifts, including mandatory weekends, 2nd, or 3rd shifts as required by the location's hiring needs.

  • License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record is required (mandatory if the role involves driving a company vehicle).
