Position: Principal Safety Engineer / Section Manager - Safety Engineering Department

Worksite: 5985 Rogerdale Road Houston, TX 77072

Responsibilities: Responsible for project delivery of all Safety Engineering tasks & activities within scope, schedule, and budget. Act as the primary contact for clients and projects. Act as the primary interface with other discipline leads. Manage workshare activities. Independently develop complex Fire Suppression deliverables, Fire & Gas Detection deliverables, Fireproofing deliverables, and Fire & Safety Equipment deliverables (such as eyewash stations, life saving appliances, deluge valve, hydrants, monitors, hose reels, fire extinguishers, etc.). Lead and coordinate process safety activities, performing third party studies, PHA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and safety studies (FRA, QRA, BRA, VCA, HFE, SCE, PS, ALARP, DEMO, HSE CASE, etc.). Perform MOC support and safety reviews. Perform action tracking and resolution management. Perform technical peer reviews (TPR) and Interdisciplinary reviews. Produce SR estimates for various engineering phases in each of the industries Worley does business. Provide Professional Engineer review and stamp and act as third-party reviewer of Fire Protection deliverables. Review and complete certification of Fire Protection as well as Fire Detection & Alarm Systems. Serve as company's Subject Matter Expert in Fire Protection.

Minimum

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field of study and 120 months of progressive Safety Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering experience, including experience in the design of complex Fire Suppression, Fire Water System, Gas Suppression System, and Fire & Gas deliverables, as well as project delivery of Safety and Risk tasks.

Requirement: Professional Engineer License required.
