POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Retail Collections Manager is responsible for managing the Retail Collections Department and minimize delinquency and losses and maximize recoveries. Additionally, this position will oversee all aspects of the Bank's retail collection and recovery efforts and initiate programs and procedures to adjust to the changing economic environments and new product initiatives. This oversight will include consumer credit card collections, recovery, REO, and the administrative group and FCRA team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum of 5 years retail credit collections and/or credit administration experience required.
* Previous supervisor experience required.
* Thorough understanding of delinquency management, loan & collateral documentation, foreclosure process, repossession, and bankruptcy required.
* Ability to initiate and effectively communicate with past due customers, officers, and senior management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for the direct management and supervision of the Retail Collection staff; to ensure contact with clients to resolve their delinquent loans, pursuant to policies and procedures.
* Responsible for training and staffing collection associate team.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of departmental policies regarding collections of overdue/delinquent accounts.
* Work with legal counsel or outside collections agencies to handle overdue accounts.
* Develop and administer credit and collection programs.
* Monitor the collection of all assigned past due consumer mortgage and consumer loans to minimize delinquency and charge offs.
* Utilize technology within department as needed to improve efficiency.
* Monitor tracking systems for all bankruptcies, suits, foreclosures, and other post charge off activity.
* Monitor collection practices and procedures and maintain written procedures manual regarding all collection functions.
* Manage the FCRA team including adherence to SLA guidelines and monitor reporting to maintain or exceed expected performance of the duties of those Associates.
* Look for innovative ways to streamline the flow of work and better assist clients.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's guidelines, policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and the overall development of associates; coaching and mentoring while providing challenging opportunities to enhance career growth; planning, assigning, and directing work; setting expectations and appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding associates or recommending disciplinary action as appropriate; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and helping to build a positive team culture.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
* Flexible work schedule may include some evenings, weekends and/or overtime.
* Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
