Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Full Time Morgage Loan Closer to work a hybrid schedule from our Oyster Point office in Newport News, VA.

Job Summary:

Closes and funds first mortgage loans. Works with closing agents, attorneys, and members to facilitate loan closing and funding. Assembles all final documentation while ensuring closings meet TRID, investor, and policy requirements. Balances general ledger accounts related to mortgage transaction production reports.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:



  • Closes and funds all first mortgage loans.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the closing process and ensures that all terms of the sale are met.
  • Prepares closing packages accurately and meets compliance requirements for individual loan types in accordance with the credit union and investor guidelines and secondary marketing requirements.
  • Assembles, balances, and prepares final documentation while working with settlement agents
  • Balances related GLs, maintains closed files, and produces
  • Submits wire request for mortgage funding
  • Manages pipeline and lock expirations.


Qualifications:



  • Two years of real estate loan closing experience or equivalent working experience and training are
  • Knowledge of TRID, CFBP, Regulation Z, and RESPA guidelines preferred.
