JOB MISSION:

The Sr. Project Manager - IT Networks will manage the planning, design and implementation of network infrastructure and services throughout the New Balance environment. Network projects include WiFi, WAN, LAN, and network security modernizations; refreshes; network buildouts for new sites; and a variety of strategic initiatives that require elements of both program and project management. Upcoming global projects include SD WAN and WiFi modernizations across NB's international sites in 30 countries.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage the intake and scoping for new projects. Interface with various stakeholders regarding projects and requirements for new tech & services.

  • Organize and plan strategic initiatives into projects or work streams.

  • Research any information required to successfully plan each project. Self-sufficiency, strong sense of ownership and "discovery" capabilities will be required.

  • Manage multiple projects at any given time, of various sizes and complexity.

  • Employ the industry-standard PM artifacts including project plans / WBS, RAID logs, etc. Projects are typically waterfall-based, but elements of agile can be incorporated if helpful.

  • Lead conversations between the different stakeholders to identify and meet project expectations; be present on site and communicate frequently.

  • Manage the project budgets.

  • Ensure simple & concise documentation around project budgets, Implementation Plans, technical drawings, project management artifacts, and operational handoffs as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Typical waterfall project and program manager experience.

  • Experience with IT infrastructure projects for at least one multi-national enterprise.

  • Some limited network engineering skills are desirable.

  • Superior planning skills.

  • Experience managing a variety of IT infrastructure projects.

  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force across the organization.

  • Ability to convey realistic timeline and budget information to project sponsors when given aggressive requests from those stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).

  • Solutions-oriented & Customer-service oriented.

  • Strong requirements gathering skills.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
