POSITION: IT Business Systems Analyst II

DUTIES: The IT Business Systems Analyst II role is to plan, design and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes for bio-sciences organization. The IT Business Systems Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting scientific research operations by analyzing complex data processing challenges and designing innovative, scalable solutions. This position collaborates closely with scientific product owners, software engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end software capabilities that enhance biomedical research workflows and data integrity and supports Clinical Research Services. This includes gathering and analyzing data and documenting business processes and requirements. The position is responsible for investigating application issues and generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. Working within an Agile development environment, the IT Business Systems Analyst II facilitates cross-functional collaboration, translates scientific and operational requirements into actionable user stories, and ensures alignment between IT systems and research objectives. Leading initiatives to automate and streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis using modern cloud and integration tools. Investigating application and system issues, compiling detailed reports with root cause analysis, and proposing effective solutions. The position applies deep technical expertise in SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate, and Azure to develop and optimize systems that support Clinical Research Services. Participates in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Evaluates and recommends commercially available software solutions, leads small to medium product research efforts, and documents findings. Communicates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensures transparency across teams.

RATE OF PAY: Between $98,446 and $108,857 per year

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Information Systems or directly related field and 1 year of business systems analysis experience delivering scalable solutions to complex application and system administration challenges supporting scientific research operations to deliver end-to-end software capabilities that enhance biomedical research workflows and data integrity, including data lifecycle optimization, ERP decommissioning, and cloud-based integrations or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or directly related field and 3 years of business systems analysis experience delivering scalable solutions to complex application and system administration challenges supporting scientific research operations to deliver end-to-end software capabilities that enhance biomedical research workflows and data integrity, including data lifecycle optimization, ERP decommissioning, and cloud-based integrations. All qualified applicants must have performed the following for 1 year: optimizing SQL Server performance by tuning queries, developing stored procedures, and managing multi-million record datasets using SSMS and PL/SQL to accelerate report generation and minimize latency building custom solutions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations using X++ and Visual Studio, including entity modeling, staging table setup, and BYOD integration to enhance enterprise reporting capabilities; designing and implementing scalable ETL pipelines that integrate data from SQL Server, Excel, flat files, and Azure Blob Storage, maintaining data integrity across hybrid environments and enabling seamless ingestion into the enterprise data warehouse (EDW); developing interactive dashboards in Power BI and Tableau using advanced DAX, row-level security, bookmarks, and custom visuals to drive strategic decisions across finance, supply chain, and research functions; and leading Agile product ownership by decomposing backlogs, planning sprints, and coordinating delivery through Azure DevOps and Jira, managing over across cross-functional bio-science teams.
