PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

Ensure smooth movement of critical parts during a high-volume period; timely tracking and movement are essential to ensure the right products reach production without bottlenecks. This role requires someone motivated, diligent, and detail-oriented to track parts and maintain flow across multiple stages.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and track parts from metal processing through receiving, receiving inspection, and onto the production line.
  • Accurately count parts and update tracking spreadsheets in real time.
  • Proactively identify and resolve delays to keep production moving.
  • Review and release work orders in a timely manner and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
  • Ensure efficient flow of material through assigned value streams by coordinating and responding to triggers / signals within the process.Signalsinclude physical cards, events, system events, and time.
  • Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the staging area.
  • Operate a variety of equipment applicable within assigned area.
  • Communicate with appropriate resources when problems arise affecting on-time delivery of materials to value streams and/or adherence to schedule.
  • Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement and Lean activities.
  • Performs other responsibilities / duties as apparent or assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • Proficient experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning system) and Computers.
  • APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) Certification preferred or willing to obtain.
  • No corrective actions or performance improvement plans within six (6) months of the job posting opening date.
  • No decision-making leaves within 12 months of the job posting opening date.
  • Most recent performance rating achieves or higher.
  • Successfully completed six (6) months in current job bid classification OR current career advancement classification.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
