Description

Goodwill of North Georgia is one of the fastest growing organizations in the region. We have more than 100 locations across our 45-county territory and we are one of the largest nonprofits in Metro Atlanta.

Our marketing department is looking for an enthusiastic college junior, senior or recent graduate who wants to put what he or she has learned in class into practice while working on a variety of exciting projects. This is a hybrid opportunity where the intern will work an 8-hour/day, 40-hour/week period. On remote days, the intern is required to be actively working on day-to-day assignments and projects while remaining available via email and/or phone.

The intern will work alongside a team of professionals with experience in advertising, broadcast journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, and more.

This is a paid internship opportunity. Students will build their resumes with real-world experience, learn and network with experienced professionals and benefit from working for an organization that helps the community.

Role/Responsibilities:



  • Complete research to support ongoing media and community relations projects
  • Assist in the development of broadcast media segments highlighting Goodwill mission, shopping, donations and sustainability efforts
  • Create digital and/or print collateral to support agency mission-focused activities
  • Assist with photo/video shoots
  • Help create content for The Hub - the Goodwill team member app
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:



  • Must have completed collegiate coursework through sophomore year (rising juniors, seniors, and recent graduates) in public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field
  • Knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts
  • Should be goal-oriented
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and set priorities
  • Must be self-motivated and have effective presentation skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Must be able to solve problems and function independently in a fast-paced work setting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva.
  • Must have reliable mode of transportation.


Preferred (not required):



  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Premier Pro, InDesign, etc.)
  • Video/photo editing experience


The dates of the internship will be June 1 - July 24, 2026. You must be available to work full-time during this period. 8-hour days and 40-hour weeks on a 9am to 5 pm schedule.



  • Hybrid schedule: Our team is typically in the office on Monday and Tuesday and works remotely Wednesday through Friday. The schedule is subject to change. In addition, you will be expected to attend and support agency events as necessary.
